Tesla is reported to have traversed production and increased deductions for its highly riding cybertruck while the sale sales and inventory are built.
Ev Elon Musk Company has reduced production targets for numerous Cybertruck mounting lines, Business Insider reported – just a month after Tesla stopped deliveries of futuristic vehicle due to rampant brave reports coming intact.
Sources told Business Insider that some production lines are now operating with only part of their previous capacity, while staff levels have decreased significantly.
“It feels like they are filtering people abroad,” an employee of Tesla was noticed for Business Insider, mentioning that “the parking continues to become empty.”
Moreover, the automobile has redirected some online production workers to focus on the model Y line, a change that has been going on since January.
The post has requested comment from Tesla.
This reallocation follows similar production adjustments first started in December 2024, when Tesla informed employees about the next schedule and reductions in production goals.
Despite the bold predictions by Musk, Cybertruck has significantly underestimated the company’s stated intention to sell a quarter of units a year.
Originally discovered in 2019, Cybertruck generated a great excitement, boasting the highest aesthetics and impressive specifications.
By the end of 2023, when the truck entered production, Musk expressed confidence that the annual production would eventually reach 250,000 units by 2025.
However, reality has not matched those ambitious goals.
Since 2025, Tesla’s annual internet sales pace stands in about 25,000 units, a 10 of Musk forecast.
A report earlier this month showed that Tesla started the second quarter of the year with about 2,400 cybertrucks in inventory, a reserve worth over $ 200m.
Among these vehicles are the oldest of 2024 Cybertrucks, many of which are not eligible for federal tax loans, along with some “Foundation Series” units, which were interrupted in October 2024.
Unsold vehicles have left the inventory -loaded automobile that is now six months old or more.
In the face of these inventory pressures, Tesla has significantly increased deductions on the cybertruck.
Recent promotions have offered price reductions up to $ 10,000 per vehicle, with most discounts on average about $ 8,000.
