Comedian Rosie O’Donnell who has a long quarrel with President Trump said CNN on Tuesday that his re-election is what forced him to flee to Ireland, adding that he is “very sad” to see what his administration has done in the country.
Former “The View” leader told reporters Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown on Tuesday that she had planned to leave the US if Trump won the 2025 project.
“I knew after reading project 2025 that if Trump was going, it would be time for me and my child not binary to leave the country,” O’Donnell told her 12-year-old child Clay.
“I have no regrets. No day it has gone through that I thought it was the wrong decision. I was welcomed with open wings,” she said, adding that she made the choice with her family and therapist.
O’Donnell said “has been heartbroken” to see the Trump administration at work in the US while she builds her new life in Ireland.
Trump has paid “no mind for none of the laws by which our country stands and that our country stands and this is a light of light and bright freedom for the rest of the world,” continued O’Donnell.
“Bad is bad as they promised and even a little worse and has been heartbroken and personally very sad to see.”
O’Donnell and Trump have exchanged bite remarks for nearly two decades, dating from a comment that the actress made in “View” in 2006.
At the time, she ridiculed Trump to act as a “moral authority” when he left his first wife, had a relationship, left the second wife, had a relationship, had twice children. “
Trump hit back, and the two have continued to flatten the insults against each other, with tensions only warming up during his first presidential campaign.
In August 2015, during the primary Republican debate, the then fox host Megyn Kelly asked Trump about his use of language as “fat pigs”, “dogs”, “slobs” and “disgusting animals” to describe women.
“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” he replied.
In a posting on social media, O’Donnell called Trump a “orange anus”.
After his choice, in 2017, she called him a “crazy” and argued his victory and placed the nation “on the eve of the nuclear war”.
