Since buying the first villa, Moncures have not only expanded Bluefields to include five other villas and a series of jaws, but they have done so while contributing significantly to the surrounding community, paving the rural schools, providing computers in classrooms and paying monthly stipers for local teachers. A certain percentage of each of their bookings goes to further this philanthropy under the direction of their foundation.
Ninety minutes from the airport, Percy retreats to Hermitage of Bluefieldâ, a stunning four -bed villa, with three baths rooted over the southern coast of the island. There is a lot to get it all right away. The dining room in the open octagonal air and the living room adjacent to the arched ceilings give way to a spanish stone courtyard of stone and the shiny pool that seems to lie straight to the ocean beyond. The architecture, which Deborah Moncure designed unilaterally in a two-week fever dream, is the Digest Architectural item.

A classic Jamaican cabinet equipped with frozen drinks and a local IPA in a makeshift tap is run by Iman and Rudo, the latter of which doubles as the captain of Sunset Bluefields.
Day culminates on the long table of the dining room, where dwayne, now donating a black bow, and his team slips without effort with silver platters of appetite. By occupying a place, the excellent setting of the table would be made by Martha Stewart Gawk. The breeze cut flowers are scattered in conjunction with three -legged Candelabra. The napkins are folded with precision similar to origami. Antique Silver Silver Frame Good China. At a time when Dwayne returns with the first course, dinners were already transported again in a summer time when eating was also intended as a holiday for the eyes.
Chef Shellyann Clarke comes out of the kitchen to officially present the courses. Johnson and trained Wales, she communicates directly with guests throughout their stay, curating her menu to meet dietary restrictions, while also suggesting authentic Jamaica vessels that increase experience. There have been no exaggerations in the above descriptions, but when it comes to the cuisine he noted: Chef Clarke’s cuisine would stay in the best dining restaurants in the world. End of the sentence.
Busy it is not a word that seems to exist in the blue fields. There is absolutely no sense of urgency for any moment of the day. At first, this lack of action and continuous tracking by staff feels almost unclear. Can I probably rest like this for a week? But like any good seductive, Bluefields throws its magic unbearable until the thought of living another way seems unthinkable.
For those who worry about whether this rare experience is fast, don’t be afraid: Moncure’s eldest son “Houston” who was born and raised in Montego Bay – has been gradually taking the mantle from his parents alongside his welcoming Kate’s wife.
