Joe Rogan asks Bernie Sanders if he will run again for president, what would he do on the first day

Podcaster Joe Rogan asked Senate Bernie Sanders, I-VT, on Tuesday if he would run again for president, and Sanders revealed the main issue he would give priority.

Sanders spoke about how he called to stop military aid to Israel until they show more tenderness to hungry citizens in Gaza, ending their blockade. Sanders continued to mark the difficulty of passing such a policy, criticizing Israel’s influence on American politics. He singled out AIPAC (the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee) as a main example, mentioning that “they have already overturned the good members of the Congress, and they will do it again.”

“So all I’m saying is that you have a corrupt system of campaign finances from both sides, which is rejecting the will of the American people and ends up supporting powerful special interests,” Sanders said. “And if we don’t get a glove for that issue, I am very concerned about the future of American democracy.”

“Will you run again for president?” Asked Rogan in response.

“I’m 83 years old,” replied Sanders. “I’m not sure the American people would be very enthusiastic -“

Rogan complimented Sanders who were still very “with him” and observed, “I mean, you’re a few years older than Biden, or not? Think about it. You can be much worse.”

Sanders continued to talk about his “Fight oligarchy” tour across the country, pointing out that he has achieved a wide variety of Americans across the political spectrum, and arguing that “there is growing dissatisfaction with current politics in America, both sides, and people want a new vision, and people want a new vision for America.”

Later in the conversation, Rogan appeared to allude to the 2016 election and encouraged Sanders to imagine an alternative future where “you had not undertaken, and they had not plotted against you, and in fact became a democratic candidate, and you won, what would you have done differently?”

Sanders took a moment and asked, “How many hours do we have?”

Rogan assured what they have “all the time in the world” and continued to ask, “Wauld what would you have done the first day in office?”

“Well, it’s not just the first day in office,” replied Sanders. “I would have addressed this issue of campaign funding reform.”

Sanders argued that it would be better for the government’s elections to be funded by the government so that each candidate can get the same amount of money to spend to make their issue to the US public.

While some may worry about taxpayers who support the campaign bill, he argued that “it makes much more sense than having the choice of billionaire funds, which is what you have now received.”
