Former MSNBC host Joy Reid speculated on Tuesday that her coverage of President Donald Trump and the continued war in Gaza were unclear factors that led to her unexpected departure from the liberal network.
During her appearance at the “Breakfast Club”, Reid was asked what she was hiding behind her MSNBC firing in February, insisting it was not a matter of evaluation, despite the fact that the network view received a large diving after the 2024 elections.
“And we actually had just one appreciation meeting, like two weeks before I rest, where they were like,” you guys are really losing – you guys have lost less than, you know, your competitors, and you are actually doing well, “Reid said.
“So the ratings were fine. We were doing well. And you know, the ratings haven’t done better since I left.”
Reid then showed a report to be in the fragmentation block that appeared on Friday before she was fired, which she initially thought was just a “rumor”, but its manufacturers began “leaving” from what was claimed.
“We had not heard anything,” Reid said.
“No one had called me. No one had said,” You did something wrong. You’re in trouble, you are in the test. “I had not got anything. And I was fired right away. [issue]? ‘Nothing. They were the same, ‘Oh, we just want to make some changes.’ They never said why. So I had to live in the rumor mill with everyone else. “
The former “Reidout” Host continued to claim that there were “two themes” who had managed the “unpleasant” MSNBC management.
“One of them is Trump because Trump is suing everyone,” Reid said.
“I mean, he is literally threatening people to the point that ’60 minutes” is shocked, where ABC News is shocked. You know, he is threatened with oral comcast by name, by name [Comcast CEO] Brian Roberts by name, and all of these are businesses that want to do business that need FCC approval. They really need to have the federal government’s approval to make mergers, shopping … He can withdraw your license … so it’s like everyone is trying to sail this truly broken man. So I think they are being activated by a feeling of ‘we don’t want to make the bear too much.’ “

“I think the rest is Gaza,” she continued.
“And you just can’t get away from the fact that you talk about Gaza in a way to humanize the Palestinians is not the usual way of acting cable news, or that any news in this country works for any reason, that topic makes people uncomfortable.”
MSNBC did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Reid remained defensive after her crash, saying at the time she would not apologize for going “hard” for issues like Black Lives Matter, illegal immigrants, the 1619 project and Gaza, and her opposition to Trump.
“I’m not sorry I got up for those things because those things are god,” Reid said in February.
“And you know, I’m also a church girl, and those are the things I taught were owned. So I’m not sorry. I’m just proud of my show.”
